Hinx have unique experience and expertise in Data Centre design, having
worked with some major industry players on their overall architecture to
integrate data centres on a world-wide basis.
Key Design Areas
|
Resilience - ensuring maximum
uptime without compromising on performance. |
|
Availability - business continuity is
especially important. |
|
Performance - the faster the
better; in a predictable manner. |
|
Security - ensuring data separation
and controlled access to all Data centre resources. |
|
Effective architecture for data separation
- a common infrastructure that provides facilities for network-based
backup and efficient back-end network access. |
|
Predictable Failover - for maximum service
availability. |
Our network design service takes into account your existing equipment, and
evaluates how to best use your existing investment to maximise the above areas.
We have no interest in selling equipment or allegiance to any specific vendor,
so you get truly impartial advice, as well as the benefit of our considerable
experience in this particular field.
See our section on Data Centre Virtualisation for how exciting new
technologies such as VMware and virtual routers, load-balancers and firewalls can redefine the
cost model for high-density data centre networking.
Whilst remaining vendor-neutral, we pride ourselves on remaining up-to-date
with the latest technology and product offerings from the major vendors, and
have good relationships with these.
Our designs are highly detailed and we aim to leave no stone unturned when
specifying the requirement, as experience has taught us that attention to detail
is of paramount importance - whether it is ensuring the power supply or
air-conditioning can cope with the equipment, or that the fibre sizes & quality
are compatible.
Detailed overview network diagrams are provided at each stage in design, and these are refined
during the design consultation process to ensure that the implementation will be
as trouble-free as possible. Our end product is a fully documented set of
architecture standards and design templates, including sample configuration
details.
