Network Monitoring

Migrating a network requires careful project management, and attention to detail is all-important. From procurement through deployment, commissioning of equipment and co-ordination of associated surrounding services such as telephony lines and WAN circuits.

Hinx have experience of deploying a wide variety of projects, from a multi-building Layer 3 core network replacement to the renewing of C7 signalling controllers in a 33,400-port Internet Dial network.

We have expertise and experience in both Service Provider and Enterprise projects, and take the same holistic approach to both types of project.  Nothing is left to chance, we check and ensure that all parties involved are fully aware of their responsibilities in the project.

Insist on a set of fully-scoped project plans using Microsoft Projecttm software that allows all parties to see exactly the progress and the immediate impact of events on the whole time-line of the project.  Change is a fact of life, and we expect the unexpected, with a back-out plan - just in case.

Example Service Provider Project:

Migration of a Dial Access platform to utilise C7 signalling aggregation on carrier-class signalling platforms, with RADIUS pre-authentication and L2TP tunnelling for wholesale Dial.  Hinx took on the project as lab testing, project management and implementation.  Hinx managed multiple field engineers and 3rd-party contractors across multiple sites, to build the network to expectations and to operate correctly in all possible scenarios.

Our expertise not only saved the customer money on procurement costs, but also running costs for the platform have been reduced, maximising the margin available to the Service Provider.

Example Enterprise Project: 

Design and implement resilience into a multi-campus network, including international links; providing resilience at all possible levels to ensure that the network carries on supporting the business - even in difficult circumstances such as mains power failure.

Managing resources and outage windows to implement and fully test before handing over to the business.

Delivering a fully-working network that has been tested and benchmarked - no surprises.
