Hinx were formed in July 2004. We aim to provide the best possible
services to end users and service providers to ensure that complex networking projects are
designed and implemented to the highest standards. This aim is made more
accessible because we have many years of experience of these types of
projects, using multiple vendors' equipment.
We do not market our services heavily, since we make use of
individual recommendations and personal networking industry
contacts.
 Our
skills are founded on
Networking, with many network implementations using IP, OSPF,
EIGRP and ISIS. BGP is a specialist skill that we can offer to any of
our clients wishing to perform direct Internet peering or dual-homing to
the Internet via two separate providers.
Keeping up with skills
is important to Hinx as well, we attend many industry forums to keep the
consultants' minds fresh and concentrating on new technologies as well
as the sound foundations that many years of networking bring.

Hinx maintain close relationships with many vendors, in order to
maintain independence, by learning each vendor's strong points and being
able to articulate this with clients. As a non-equipment provider, Hinx
have no specific "axe to grind" and hence can offer truly impartial
advice.
We offer our clients the best service and the best advice, and this
results in well satisfied clients, whom will recommend us to their
peers, and also will come back to Hinx again for future projects.

Pedigree
A typical entrance qualification for Hinx is at least five years in the
networking industry, preferably within a vendor, major systems
integrator or service provider. This guarantees that our technical
expertise is well-founded and that we take a mature approach to our
clients' projects.
Founders
Founded by Paul Hine, based on many years working directly for Cisco
Systems in both Enterprise and Service provider, as systems engineer and
systems consultant.
